Boys Basketball at IHSAA State Tournament

The Northwest Wolves boys’ basketball team ended the 2022-23 season as state runner-up after a 75-67 point loss against West Des Moines Valley.

In the postseason, the team faced Des Moines Lincoln in the substate semifinal. A win over Des Moines Roosevelt in the substate final sent the team to the IHSAA Class 4A State Tournament. After a 55-37 first-round defeat of Ankeny Centennial, the Wolves returned to Wells Fargo Arena to face Waukee High. The Wolves came out on top with a 66-46 win.

The team ended the regular season with a 19-2 record.

Pryce Sandfort and Cade Kelderman were selected as members of the Iowa Farm Bureau 2023 Class 4A All-Tournament Team.
