Pending School Board approval, Alyssa Bigger will be hired to lead the Northwest High School Competition and Winter Cheer programs.  Alyssa has had a successful career in cheerleading.  She competed and coached at Dynasty All-Stars and the University of Northern Iowa.  As a cheerleader, she has competed at the World Championships.  Her coaching accomplishments include creating and coaching a grand championship-winning routine.  She takes over the winter cheer program from Alyssa Johnston, who resigned after the 2024 winter season.  The Northwest Competition Cheer team won a State Championship in 2022 but did not field a team last year. Northwest hires new Head Competition and Winter Cheer Coach, Alyssa Bigger
